Street photography in Malta - Fgura, Paola, Hamrun, Rabat

As the cold weather has now started setting in and with it shorter days, finding time for photography may be a struggle for those who have alot of things to do in their daily routine. But luckily for me - now that I have earlier this year bought the X100VI, this camera is so compact that carrying it with me is so easy. It is no big hassle to put it in my pocket jacket when I am going out for a walk or in between one thing to another. I really never know what I will encounter and as long as there is some good light (that is its during the day) the performance of the camera sensor and optics hold up pretty well. I only want a full frame or a faster lens when its past sunset, and when its dark I don’t really take the Fuji X100VI with me.

Anyway, the reason why I keep shooting is just for my fun and training. I love photography for the art form it is and when I am not doing any commercial work I still love exploring and looking to see what strikes me! If we start looking more deeply, we would find loads of things happening around us in the mundanity of our daily life. Our eyes just need training and awareness - to people, movements, moments, compositions, geometries. At times I go out and manage to shoot some images but get no images that I love. Other times I go out and get two images at one go! So don’t ever be discouraged and keep on looking and being with your camera (if possible) - and the photos will come to you!

In the below selection of images, taken over a period of several weeks, I tried to find stories or make my viewers want to search for meaning in the photos.

…. **NEVER STOP LOOKING**
