Street photography at Cospicua (Bormla)

Some two weeks ago I had an extra hour in my hands and therefore decided to go an explore some part of Malta which I felt I would love to re-explore with a new perspective. I decided to head to Bormla as I felt that it was an interesting place which I had rarely gone to for any street photography in. Bormla (or Cospicua) is a fortified city in the South Eastern of Malta not to far from my home base in Tarxien. It is close to the Three Cities in the Grand Harbour area and has a population of approximately 5,400 people.

The city is interesting to explore because there is a real Maltese vibe to it, there are lots of locals living there and the place is extremely quite and authentic (the parts I visited, which was the outside of the city is still undisturbed by the construction process which has taken all over Malta). As I there, I felt like I had travelled back in time and had visited a place outside of Malta. Re-discovering places in your own country is really an amazing feeling.

All the images you see below were shot with my 35mm RXRii camera in around 45mins of walking time. I am sure that had I allocated more time I would have found more subjects for this blog post!
