Pope Francis in Malta

I consider myself to be lucky to have been given accreditation access to most of the sites that Pope Francis was visiting in Malta! The story behind how I got access and therefore behind these images is that Alistair Floral Design commissioned me to document their preparation phase and the final products on display since they were the providers of the floral arrangements for all the locations in Malta including those at:

  • The Grandmaster's Palace St. George's Square, Valletta

  • The Granaries, Valletta

  • The Peace Lab in Zurrieq

I was therefore able to access these locations early before the event and cover not only what I was assigned for but also additional images documenting the trip of his Holiness in Malta. It was a truly a pure photographic and spiritual journey to be able to cover the events of the visit of Pope Francis in Malta in first person. At the end of the weekend my body was tired but my heart was overflowing with joy. This last meeting with our brothers the immigrants at the Peace Laboratory has been very touching and in my opinion the highlight of the visit. I hope these images also show you the great amount of work which goes behind such events.
